Washington University International Relations Council

Open Intramural on February 1st

Interested in international relations, politics, social justice, speech or debate? Like to meet new, cool people and get a taste of what Model United Nations is all about right on campus? Like free pizza?

On Saturday, February 1st, the Washington University International Relations Council (WUIRC) will host an open intramural Model United Nations Conference featuring two exciting and interactive crisis committees – the Security Council and the Colombian Government. Topics will focus on the illicit drug trade (Colombian Government Task Force) and the issue of human trafficking in East Africa (Security Council).

No previous Model UN or debate experience is necessary and we encourage new members and anyone interested to sign up! There will be an optional training session before the conference to help coach you on what to expect. If you aren’t sure what Model UN is like and would like to get some more information or have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Vice President Lisa at vongchingtrong.lisa@gmail.com.
