Washington University’s International Relations Council, home to the university’s Model United Nations competition team, is an active community of students with a deep appreciation for international affairs, politics, and diplomacy. Our members come from multidisciplinary backgrounds and all over the nation and the world. Together, we make up an award-winning travel team, sending delegations to the nation’s leading conferences at schools such as University of Chicago, Columbia University, and University of Pennsylvania.
We also host and staff conferences at both the high school and collegiate level. Our high school conference, Washington University Model United Nations Symposium (WUMUNS) will take place on October 16-18, 2015 and our collegiate conference, Washington University Model United Nations Conference (WUMUNC) is set to take place on February 6-8, 2015.
In addition to these activities, we hold open regular meetings where we discuss current events and prepare for upcoming competitions. We also host open intramural conferences on campus that give students a true taste of what Model United Nations is all about. Regardless of who you are or how much experience you’ve had, we’ve love to welcome you to our club. Whether you are staffing WUMUNS, participating in intramural conferences, competing on a travel team, or simply coming to our regular meetings, there is always a way you can get involved!
